What is DuPont paper?DuPont paper is a material produced by DuPont Company. It is a non-woven material made from 100% high-density polyethylene using DuPont's patented flash evaporation spinning technology, named Tyvek, and Chinese named Te Wei Qiang. Because of its one-way breathable performance, it is also called "breathable paper".

 DuPont paper looks like paper but is not actually "paper," but has two structures: a hard structural material like paper and a soft structural material like cloth. It has a special "paper feel" and the advantages of paper, film, and woven fabric, as well as its own characteristics.

1.Good flexibility and durability

It is fold-resistant and can withstand more than 20,000 repeated folds, durable and sturdy.

2.Waterproof and breathable

Because of its fine fibers, liquid water, oil, and other substances cannot easily penetrate; while gas and water vapor can pass through, it has excellent waterproof and breathable performance.

3.Antibacterial and UV resistant

It has good penetration resistance to solid particles, a special physical structure, and can completely block tiny mites and dust, preventing them from penetrating, with excellent antibacterial effect.

4.High-temperature resistance

In a constant temperature, within the range of relative humidity of 0~100%, it can maintain excellent dimensional stability. It can remain resilient and flexible at -73℃, shrink at 118℃, and melt at 135℃. Its finished textiles are not recommended to be ironed.

5.Lightweight

Compared with ordinary fabrics, it only weighs a fraction of its weight. Its weight per square foot is only half that of the same thickness of paper.

6.100% recyclable.It is durable and environmentally friendly.

Production process of DuPont paper

Using the flash evaporation technology, the polymer is processed into continuous filaments after being heated, and then bonded by heat. Its unique process makes DuPont paper have good flame resistance. When combined with Nomex tape, which is itself an insulator, it can meet the fire protection requirements of designs.

The unique manufacturing process makes DuPont paper tough and durable, with strong tear resistance, and can resist natural and artificial stretching. As the exterior of a building, there is no need to worry about stretching causing cracking.
